About the event
KR Scholars invites the Richmond community to celebrate Juneteenth while raising funds for students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) at its Juneteenth HBCU Scholarship Fundraiser. The event honors the legacy of Juneteenth and marks KR Scholars' five-year anniversary as a community-focused nonprofit organization.
Funds raised will benefit the Dollars for HBCU Scholars program, which has provided over $70,000 annually in scholarships and essential resources to HBCU students. These scholarships are transformational, offering not just financial aid but also critical support that helps ensure students attend college and complete their degrees.
Guests will enjoy an soul food buffet, lively music, and line dancing, a fun and meaningful way to celebrate freedom while giving back. KR Scholars is also seeking event sponsors committed to educational equity and long-term impact.
