Advancing Opportunity for HBCU Scholars: KR Scholars Scholarship Applications Now Open

April 1, 2026

KR Scholars is proud to announce that applications are now open for our 2026–2027 HBCU Scholarship, designed to support students currently attending historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

At KR Scholars, we are committed to empowering student success beyond graduation by investing in scholars who are pursuing higher education at HBCUs—institutions that continue to play a critical role in shaping Black excellence, leadership, and economic mobility.

This scholarship opportunity is open to full-time sophomores, juniors, and seniors enrolled at any HBCU for the 2026–2027 academic year, regardless of major. Whether you’re studying business, STEM, the arts, or healthcare, we encourage you to apply.
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be a full-time student for the 2026–2027 academic year
Must be classified as a sophomore, junior, or senior
Must be currently attending a historically Black college or university
Open to all majors
Must have a minimum 2.75 GPA

Through this scholarship, KR Scholars continues its mission to remove financial barriers, increase retention, and support the long-term success of HBCU students. To date, KR Scholars has awarded over $100,000 in scholarships and continues to expand its impact through programs focused on college access, financial education, and workforce readiness.

Why This Matters
Many HBCU students face financial gaps that can impact their ability to persist and complete their degrees. Scholarships like this one help bridge that gap—providing not only financial support, but also encouragement and recognition for students who are committed to their education and future.
Application Deadline
All applications must be submitted by April 1st. We encourage eligible students to apply early and share this opportunity with their peers.
