Week 1 started with an inside look at the HBCU experience. Scholars then squared off in a lively Jeopardy-style game that tested—and grew—their knowledge of KR Scholars, HBCU history, college readiness, and career prep. The friendly competition turned facts into fun and set the tone for an engaging summer ahead.

We closed the session with a Vision Board Party where students translated their aspirations into visuals and mapped out professional, personal, and academic goals. By the end of the afternoon, each scholar had a tangible reminder of where they’re headed and clear action steps to get there.
