Meet the 2026 KR Scholars: Investing in HBCU Talent and Future Leaders

August 1, 2026

KR Scholars is proud to introduce the 2026 KR Scholars—18 exceptional students continuing their education at Historically Black Colleges and Universities across the country.

Selected through a highly competitive process from hundreds of applicants nationwide, these scholars represent the talent, determination, and promise of the next generation. They are pursuing ambitious academic and professional goals while preparing to lead, innovate, and create lasting change within their industries and communities.

Scholarship support plays an essential role in both college access and completion. For many HBCU students, financial barriers can affect whether they are able to enroll, return for another semester, or remain on track toward graduation. These scholarships help students persist through college, focus more fully on their education, and move closer to earning a debt-free degree.

The impact extends far beyond the individual award. Investing in HBCU scholars supports long-term economic mobility, strengthens the pipeline of diverse professionals, and helps build a workforce prepared to meet the needs of tomorrow.

We extend a special thank-you to The Providencia Group (TPG), a leading sponsor of our 2026 scholarship program. TPG’s meaningful investment in HBCU students demonstrates the powerful role corporate and community partners can play in expanding educational opportunity and helping promising students reach graduation.

We also thank every donor, partner, volunteer, and supporter who contributed to this year’s scholarship program. Your generosity helps remove barriers, affirms the potential of our scholars, and reminds them that a community is invested in their success.

Join us in celebrating the 2026 KR Scholars and the promising futures they are building.
