This week, several HBCUs were forced into lockdown after receiving threats of attack. While investigations suggest many of these calls may be hoaxes, the impact is no less real. The disruption to learning, the fear instilled in students and faculty, and the ongoing targeting of these vital institutions are unacceptable.
HBCUs are more than campuses—they are legacies of resilience, spaces of opportunity, and engines of leadership. For generations, they have provided access, equity, and excellence in higher education, preparing scholars to thrive in every sector of society.

Our mission—to empower current and future HBCU students through scholarships, financial literacy, and workforce readiness—remains urgent and necessary. Threats will not silence the impact of HBCUs, nor diminish their role in shaping a stronger future.
